It all began in 1995 in Barnard Castle, when we opened our first restaurant. Built on recipes passed down through generations, we set out to bring bold South Asian dishes to the North East with a fresh, exciting twist.
This vision was led by our father, Rafique Uddin Babul, a culinary pioneer whose creativity, passion and spice expertise shaped our journey from the very start. His legacy lives on in everything we serve, from hearty signature dishes and inventive street food to handcrafted cocktails.
We opened our Darlington restaurant in October 2022, bringing that same energy, heritage and hospitality to a whole new crowd. Both our sites are entirely nut free, and our menus are packed with flavourful options for vegetarians, vegans and meat lovers alike. We are proud that our venues are nut free so anyone with a nut allergy can eat here safely.
Yes, Children under 6 are allowed to stay here until 5pm, 7-10 year old's can stay until 7pm, 11-17 year old's can stay until 10pm. This is due to licensing.
You can buy all vouchers here. You can either have an E-Voucher or have a physical voucher posted out to you.
Yes! all of our food including all animal protein is supplied halal, however, we are not HMC certified. We also offer an extensive range of soft drinks, hot drinks, mocktails and non alcoholic cocktails.
Please note that we DO sell/serve alcohol on the premises, our glassware and utensils are cleaned and sanitised according to FSA regulations.
We have a good range of allergen free options including our Dairy-free Korma, Egg Free Onion bhaji and gluten free curries. Please make sure you tell your server about any allergens you have and they'll do their best to accommodate you.
Takeaway is available at our Barnard Castle restaurant however our Darlington restaurant is dine in only.
