2024 was a landmark year. We were crowned North East Restaurant of the Year at the Asian Restaurant & Takeaway Awards, Best Restaurant in the North East at the Bangladesh Caterers Association Awards, and Casual Dining Restaurant of the Year at the Asian Curry Awards. Both our Barnard Castle and Darlington restaurants also earned official recognition in the 2025 British Curry Guide.

In August 2025, Babul’s Darlington was named among the UK’s Top 100 Asian Restaurants by the Asian Catering Federation, placing us shoulder to shoulder with the best in the country. Shortly after, we proudly lifted the title of Asian Restaurant of the Year (North East) at the Asian Restaurant Awards, a moment of huge pride for the whole team
